New Date for 2024!
We are moving the run back to a summer run. The new date is Saturday 8th June 2024.
We have a couple of big changes for 2024. The 1KM Fun Run will now be chip timed, making registration and results finding better for everyone. We will also be returning to the RunFest festival that we started a couple of years back with live music, fun and games for all the family, stands and stalls as well as the usual food, drink and bouncy castles! We are also looking at changing the 10k route to make it more of a loop and less of an 'out and back' so keep an eye out for that.

Stay and enjoy the
Family Festival Fun
We will have plenty of fun and games for everyone so please do bring the family and friends and make a day of it. We will have the following on offer in the school grounds: - BBQ (from about 8.45am serving breakfast baps), Tea / Coffee / Soft Drinks, LIVE MUSIC, Bouncy Castles, Face painting, Ice Cream Van, and The Cricketers Pub will be on hand - make a booking if you want to stay for lunch!
Location
Rickling Green, Essex CB11. - 5 miles between Bishop's Stortford & Saffron Walden. Plenty of Parking
Race Time
Races will start with the fun run from 9.40am, with the 5k and 10k setting off from 10.10am onwards.
Race Numbers
Race numbers can be collected from HQ on the green. There will be no on the day entry.
Event Reviews
We have an average of 4.6 out of 5 from our reviews on FindaRace!
'Very well organised event. Local community comes together to make it happen from farmers to the village school to all the volunteers. Good atmosphere. Course is very scenic with Small but punishing rolling hills. Only reason not a 5 is because the route is largely out and back rather than a circuit which I’d prefer. Definitely worth supporting though.' Anthony 2022
``The race was well organised and flowed smoothly. It was a challenging course due to the undulating route (added to that it was also a hot day). I will be back next year!`` Harry - June 2019
``I've done this run a couple of times now - not the largest, (which is a plus for me), but one of the friendliest! Its probably not for you if you are looking to beat your PB, but is for you if looking for a lovely run across varied terrain.`` Mark - June 2019

Whats it all for
Rickling Primary School
The Quendon and Rickling RunFest was established in 2015 by the Friends of Rickling School (PTA) to create a fun event for children and adults whilst raising much needed funds for the Rickling C of E Primary School.
100% of the proceeds from the event will be used to support school projects which will improve facilities and the learning environment for pupils. Your support is greatly appreciated and we hope you enjoy the race!
